Aliens: Colonial Marines is a video game developed by Gearbox Software , using the engine Unreal Engine 3 with a new renderer and published by Sega for the PlayStation 3 , Xbox 360 , Microsoft Windows , Wii U and In Cloud ( On Live ). The game is of the genre Shooting in first person based on the personages and creatures of the franchise Aliens , particularly in the film Aliens . [ 8 ] [ 9 ]

A previous game titled Aliens: Colonial Marines was developed by Check Six Games and even was published by Fox Interactive and Electronic Arts for the PlayStation 2 in 2001 but was canceled before its release. His story was created to be among the events of the second film in the series and Alien 3 , about a rescue team of the Colonial Marines seeking the Sulaco . Despite similarities in story and gameplay, however, Gearbox told that his next game is unrelated to this first release.
